The Enterprise Supply Chain Engineering Technical Manufacturing manager will be responsible to manage, lead and oversee SIR’s and Spec Reviews. Responsibilities include; team leadership, Supplier interface, coordination with the business unit operating company site functional team (supply chain, engineering, operations, program, etc…), project tools (risk register, project plan, Focal for Supplier cost reduction efforts, rolling action item list, etc…) deployment and maintenance, metrics, program reviews and management and overall process control to ensure successful answers back to Suppliers to get parts back into production. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Enterprise Business Unit The position is accountable for the successful execution of Supply Chain SIR’s throughout the Triumph Enterprise team.
Supplier interface and management of component Parts. Plan and lead Technical Project Management reviews and working with Suppliers ensuring they are getting all Supplier interaction necessary for part completion. Ensuring all SIR’s are answered in a timely manner and Suppliers are not being held up for Triumph. Evaluate and identify Supplier Development needs and coordinate resources from Enterprise and/or BU Supplier Development group.
Triumph team leadership and management of multiple SIR’s. Conducting team meetings related to TGI site coordination and maintain tools, metrics, various reports. Ensure the SIR are completed in a way for the Supplier to understand.
Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Material and Processes, Purchasing, and other enterprise function.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews SIR status of projects and prepare status reports. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and Customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, Customers and other stakeholders.
Analyze, develop, and implement long-term Supply Chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of Business Unit goals. Support business execution of New Programs/Products and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, and new product launches.
Identify, evaluate, develop, and enhance Supplier options suitable for outsourced activities, projects, and programs. Perform site visits of Suppliers to evaluate logistical and performance capabilities and capacity. Establish Supplier monitoring and tracking processes. Develop plans for Supplier performance improvement in conjunction with the project team and key stakeholders. Track and service materials to and from Suppliers and monitor prime and Sub-Tier Supplier performance. Resolve Supplier related and project-related business and technical issues. Develop and implement metrics to assess Supplier performance and lead continuous improvement activity.
Skills & Qualifications
10 years’ experience working in project management, engineering, operations and/or supply chain required. Experience within Aerospace Manufacturing is preferred
Proven success in analyzing and structuring transfer plans and development of reports to support the Work Transfer process
Hands on experience in Commodity Management, Global Sourcing, and Supplier Development in a technical aerospace industry
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), pivot tables and/or relational databases, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of management as well as internal and external customers
Previous success in building and establishing teams to include leading and taking ownership of indirect and cross-functional (matrixed) teams
Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and complete multiple assignments with competing priorities on time
