Supplier Specialist (Site Supply Specialist)

The Supply Specialist position reports to a Materials Execution Leader and has site responsibility for a variety of purchased parts and will overcome near term obstacles that ensure adequate supply of purchased materials for site operations. The Supply Specialist will attend and take actions from various site meetings such as tiered-accountability meetings. The Supply specialist is responsible to resolve all emergency site part shortages and issues due to supply based issues. The Supply Specialist will coordinate with various functions and the external supply base to resolve supply issues. The Supply Specialist is the link between Global Sourcing and Operations. The Supply Specialist will aid in the identification of repeat part issues and shortages to the Global Planner, Operations, Quality, and other functions.

• Managing the strategy of Supplier classification: Approved Vendor List/Approved Supplier List (Site-based)
• Ability to travel 10%
• Acting as representation for Honeywell when visit local suppliers to assess capabilities
• Providing team or leadership with daily status on part shortage issues/ resolutions
• Working with expeditors, schedulers, and Global Planning Network to overcome near term part constraints
• Managing line down buyer coordination (supplier shortages)
• Managing site-based supplier recovery
• Resolving receiving discrepancy issues
• Placing and managing purchase order's for emergency and gap buys
• Issuing return to vendor / rework order purchase order's, both interdivisional order and supplier
• Issuing and managing subcontract purchase order's for consigned parts
• Managing Indirect material issues - emergencies, etc.
• Providing site coordination for engineer change order requests
• Resolving clear to pick shortages from both make & buy parts
• Escalating Customer-specific on time to request miss issues

Managing line down buyer coordination

Managing site-based supplier recovery

Resolving receiving discrepancy issues

• Related discipline with Materials Planning, Scheduling, MRP and SAP experience
• Manufacturing experience (Mechanical)
• Contract Negotiation Experience
• Supply Chain Management experience


• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems
• Blue Print Reading knowledge
• Some experience in understanding the procurement process, term and conditions, negotiation, RFQ, and government contract procurement requirements
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and other computer systems.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work in fast-paced environment
• Prior Aerospace experienced preferred
• SAP experience preferred
