Compass Airlines is seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance Programs to join our team at our Minneapolis, Minnesota – Headquarters location. We are looking for an innovative and technical individual, with exceptional business judgment, as well as the initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the Compass organization.

Job Purpose: To provide guidance and oversight of the Maintenance Programs Team in their daily duties. Revising and coordinating changes to the Time Limits (TLM) and Maintenance Task Card (MTCM) manuals in accordance with the FAA approved Maintenance Program. Ensuring that the approved Maintenance Program tasks are entered and set up to forecast correctly in Maximo.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

* Experience in Maintenance Programs and/or related discipline ( Line/Hangar Maintenance, Maintenance Control)

* Experience in developing task cards and/or technical documents.

* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Access.

* Basic understanding of Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Framemaker.

* Excellent communication skills are required in the English language, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

* FAA Airframe and Powerplant License

* Degree in Business or Aviation with related experience.

* Background in Line/Hangar aircraft maintenance.

* Supervisory experience with the ability to train and motivate a team.

* Experience in using computer based tracking system.

Physical Demands:

* Ability to lift, carry and move light to medium weight of 10 – 30 pounds.

* Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity.

Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

*

Working knowledge and understanding of Maintenance Review Board (MRB) and Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) reports.

*

Working knowledge of FAA regulations.

*

Knowledge and understanding of MSG-3 processes and functions.

*

Familiarity with aircraft manuals, IPC, AMM, SRM etc.

*

Technical writing skills.

*

Working knowledge and understanding of computer based tracking systems.

*

Strong analytical and organizational skills

*

Must have the ability to prioritize work and coordinate with various groups.

*

Must be detail oriented.

*

Must be a self starter.

*

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

*

Must have the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and levels of personnel within and outside the company.

*

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel and Access.

*

Strong Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional.

*

Must be flexible with regards to work schedule.

Job Specifics:

*

Provide guidance to Maintenance Programs Team.

*

Maintain the maintenance program and task card data bases on the Company Server.

*

Measure and evaluate proposals and changes to the maintenance program.

*

Revise, add or delete maintenance tasks per MRB revisions, Regulatory and Company requirements.

*

Author, edit and format task cards as necessary.

*

Work with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Control and outside vendors in developing task cards.

*

Prepare and coordinate revisions to the company Time Limits Manual and Task Card Manuals and relevant General Maintenance Manual chapters.

*

Maintain the maintenance program in the computer based tracking system.

*

Oversee training and development of Maintenance Programs Specialists.

*

Assist in establishing and modifying the Maintenance Programs department policies and procedures.

*

Assist and oversee implementation of new technology and process improvements.

*

Perform duties of SMS Hazard Owner as required.

*

Interface with the Manager Maintenance Planning and Tech Ops departments as required.

*

Administrative duties for Maintenance Programs team.

*

Produce various reports as directed.

*

Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

* Work is performed in an open office environment.

* Prolonged periods during which individuals are working seated at a desk with their computer.
