The Boeing Company and the CST-100 Starliner Program is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for the Spacecraft Engineering team.
Structural Design Engineer:
The candidate will be supporting structural and mechanical products. The candidate will be responsible for Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis, Structural and Payload Design and Technical Design families and perform work across the product life cycle, including supplier oversight. Conducts research and development on new and innovative designs, materials, methods and processes. Uses conventional and Computer Aided Design and analysis techniques to define and certify products for Design development, Mechanical systems and Production support efforts. Supports the development, maintenance or modification of designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers. Assists in preparing technical documents. Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Other design methods as well as using MS Office; Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Ability to work flexible hours, including alternate shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary to support factory and operations activities.
Strong problem solving skills and logical thinker, self-starter, team player, good communicator.
Experience using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and Model-Based-Definition.
Experience using Product Management Tools for release and management of models and drawings.
Understanding of Configuration Management principles.
Experience using EDRS preferred.
Liaison / shipside experience is a plus.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
