number of high profile development programs and have recently been selected as
the flight control lead system integrator for a couple new programs. As a
result, we are looking for highly motivated and talented engineers who thrive
on challenge and enjoy working on cutting edge applications.

Moog has been growing at a phenomenal rate in the last years. We have recently won new business that has
required a 20% increase in engineering staff, and also our first confidential
program wins. In order to set up our IT
Infrastructure according to the DOD Risk Management Framework, we are looking
for a seasoned Team Lead – Systems Engineering
to join our team.

As a Moog
Aircraft Group Staff-level Systems Engineer, individuals must bring solid and
demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, project management, and sensor system integration. Daily
activities include definition, design, integration and test of sensor systems hardware. The successful
candidate must be well versed in implementing sound systems engineering
principals throughout the entire product lifecycle. Candidates must bring
first-hand development and/or engineering experience in sensor integration systems or payload systems integration in an
aerospace context. Applicants must be highly motivated “self-starters”
with the ability to effectively guide a multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed

what to expect on a day to day basis:

* Provide technical expertise and
guidance to a weapon system integration team,
operating as the Technical Project Lead.
* Be responsible for generating design artifacts
* System
* Design
* Validation
and verification plans,
* Test
and analysis reports
* Be the primary technical interface for Moog management,
customer representatives, and suppliers.
* Be proactive in communicating progress against
commitments; and status deliverables and cost/schedule/risk metrics
* Analyze and troubleshoot
problems for root cause. Identify and implement accurate solutions
in a dynamic work environment.
* Generate reports and
presentations based on results from modeling and simulations focused on
system performance and safety.

a minimum you'll need to meet these qualifications:

* BS or MS Degree in Electrical,
Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer or Systems Engineering from an accredited
* 12 years of progressive
experience in the field of System Engineering or a related field
* Core competencies in sensor
integration systems architecture, requirements management, verification
and validation, and system test
* Demonstrated experience in sensor systems integration
* Project Engineering leadership
skills for teams of up to 12 members
* Excellent verbal and written
skills required
* Team player with excellent
communication and people skills
* Travel Requirements: Travel to
other Moog sites, customer sites (US based) is required – 10-25%

qualifications include:

* Ability to obtain (in a timely
manner) Secret-level security clearance, and possibly Top Secret
* Experience working with
safety-critical systems (including hardware and software)
* Thorough knowledge of design
trades for safety, reliability, and fault tolerance
* Proficiencies in Model-Based
System Engineering as a framework for system architecture development
* Experience with aircraft
payload integration, planning, and testing
* Familiarity with control system
design and aircraft flight control systems is a plus
* Experience with
hydro-mechanical and/or electro-mechanical actuation technologies is a
* Experience in
Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow tools as a mechanism for driving requirements
development is a plus
