Delex Systems is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to assist a Government Security Office in a classified environment. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), manuals, guides, directives and statutes for physical, personnel and information security. Location: Hampton, VA Primary Duties and Responsibilities Candidate responsibilities will include: •Establish, maintain and update (as required) all office and security documents in accordance with government requirements. Conduct and document destruction of classified material IAW instructions and facility guidelines. Prepare and file destruction certificates. •Manage Program Access Requests to include preparation of PARs and applicable Templates and obtain additional information as required; review packages for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to AAA. •Maintain access control rosters; prepare, transmit, and maintain visit requests (on-site and off-site); manage a visitor control program; escort personnel as required. •Coordinate with on-site customer personnel security representative(s) for processing and maintaining employee clearances. •Responsible for document control functions for accountable materials, documents, and media. Ensure all materials and media contain proper classification markings, cover sheets, handling and transmission of classified data is in accordance with security guidelines. •Process classified material for transmission by secure fax, courier and/or registered mail. Document all incoming and outgoing secure fax transmissions and receipt/dispatch of courier or registered mail. •Prepare courier authorization documentation. Perform courier services as needed. •Control electronic media as required by SOP, security manuals, and guides. Education and Experience Requirements * Must have a current TS/SCI clearance * High School diploma * A minimum of 3 years' experience in a SAP environment supporting their security requirements * Extensive experience with providing dedicated support for all areas of security: personnel, physical, and operational security * Thorough knowledge of DOD 5205.07 manual volumes 1-4 and NISPOM * Working knowledge of MS Office & SIMS software * Must be able to work both independently and in close collaboration with other team members * Professional, customer-centered attitude and the ability to take initiative Desired: * Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30lbs; be able to climb stairs, ladders (exterior & interior spaces). * Must be able to enter crawl spaces (both above ceiling and below raised floors) to conduct physical inspection of areas.
