Job Summary: Responsible for developing, testing and deploying various statistical models, methodologies and programming to evaluate data and trends relative to forecasting aircraft engine, component removal rates, line maintenance events, and hangar events. Works with Hangar, Line, Engine and Component Maintenance business unit to evaluate past trends to determine relevance to future fleet utilization. Supports Hangar, Line, Engine and Component Maintenance in the preparation of the fiscal year operating plans, business plans and business decisions through statistical analysis, demand forecasting, capacity evaluation and operations research. Will have interaction with Hangar, Line, Engine and Component Maintenance business units and Finance Division on assessment of modeling and forecasting results for the purpose of optimizing production planning. Develops data pertaining to TechOps strategic planning and optimal use of resources to maximize insourcing goals and opportunities. Supports preparation of the Business Plan and Three Year forecast, which includes long term and strategic decisions for TechOps, including cost/benefit analysis for business justifications and decisions. Will work with the development of appropriate business unit productivity metrics and feedback channels for measurement of process improvement initiatives. Projects include numerous stand alone studies and presentations relative to fleet utilization decisions. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics or Math or related degree, or equivalent, relevant work experience is required. Master's in Operations Research or Statistics and five (5) years of relevant work in statistical modeling and trend analysis preferred. MBA desired. Prior experience using Omega's AMES airline maintenance planning software highly desired. Prior experience in regression analysis, utilization of SAS statistical software package, simulation or optimization studies is highly desired. Should be highly motivated, self directed, have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and drive change. Should possess strong interpersonal skills. Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure. Ability to diagnose functional area strengths and weaknesses and develop recommendations for improvement is highly desired. Must also convey professional image with ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels of associates in a team environment. Ability to effectively manage and deliver on many projects at once within strict deadlines is desired. Must be a self starter and be able to work independently with very little instruction or supervision. Must be proficient in the majority of competencies in the Senior Professional cluster.
