As a key member of the Financial Systems team, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for requirements analysis, systems configuration, systems testing and end-user support. Additionally, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst will develop and maintain working knowledge of ERP systems functionality and business process in order to address business user inquiries and assist in development, design and analysis activities. Additional responsibilities will include development of policies, procedures and documentation to provide a measure of consistency in processes, reporting and decisions by users.

Support end users – 40%

  • Perform as the functional lead and own overall responsibility of financial system applications
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our financial systems
  • Diagnose computer hardware, network systems and computer software programs accurately and in a timely manner to ensure end users have access to critical financial systems
  • Resolve system issues based on end-user support requests or feedback
  • Maintain vendor relations with 3rd party support partners
  • Train end-users

Administer financial systems – 35%

  • Discuss users’ needs and determine vulnerabilities or areas of poor performance to boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy in our computer systems
  • Collaborate with IT and finance staff to meet business requirements
  • Participate in system upgrades, including requirements gathering and documentation, functional design documentation, configuration setup, testing and training
  • Ensure consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the system

Create systems documentations including business requirements, functional designs, user manuals, test scripts, etc. – 15%Ensure all systems and processes are documented in accordance with SOX compliance regulation – 10%

  • Identify gaps and opportunities for automation and overall improvement of current processes
  • Work with external vendors and internal IT
  • Manage small system enhancements projects
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, including both hardware and software
  • Ad hoc special projects as assigned




  • Bachelor’s degree in IT required; additional degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 4-6 years professional IT experience, specifically in systems/business analysis and financial systems
  • 4-6 years of experience implementing and providing post production support for major systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills, specifically the ability to translate business requirements to technical and functional specifications
  • Strong business process re-engineering and documentation skills
  • Experience mapping processes in Visio
  • Ability to perform diagnostics, identify problems and provide resolutions
  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
