Melbourne Test Engineering Center of Excellence is seeking to fill an Engineering position with a talented individual who possesses knowledge of avionics products and manufacturing experience. The primary responsibility for this position is to sustain manufacturing test solutions and test equipment in support of multiple products and programs. This engineering position will also support updating product test requirements as needed for the products in the Factory.
The candidate who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. This position will heavily utilize debug skills on multi-rack test stations. These test stations include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, logic analyzers, power supplies and electronic loads. This position also requires support of environmental stress screening and vibration test equipment and their associated software programs. Good communication skills and technical acumen of electronics and avionic products is a must to be successful. The majority of the time you will be working directly with the Factory Manufacturing Electrical Engineers to assist in the sustaining of test software and hardware for their areas of responsibility.
* Strong technical skills with ability to learn new test technologies
* Ability to effectively collaborate with Engineers with test and manufacturing focus
* Good troubleshooting skills
* Ability to learn and understanding RC processes/tools/documentation
* Factory support experience
* Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
* Excellent time management skills- ability to unsupervised, multitask
* Highly motivated and possess effective oral/written communication and interpersonal/team skills
* Coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
* Test software experience in LabVIEW, TestStand, VB, VB.net, C#
* Experience with Avionics Navigation Products Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required. Candidate must have manufacturing experience as well as experience with Test Equipment.
