In this role you will be responsible for regional oversight of all Landing System suppliers, ensuring product, process, and documentation compliance to business, customer and industry standards. Accountable for supplier performance by driving suppliers to zero defects. Initiates part specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions. Manages source inspection and material release processes. Drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic process and product compliance non-conformances. Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) acceptance
•Perform or provide training for product inspection and approval of supplied product
•Issuing and approving corrective actions to suppliers using LS business tools
•Review and approval of compliance documentation including AS9102 First Article Reports and UTAS/LS required inspection documents
•Conduct investigations at suppliers to develop root cause and corrective action involving escapes to a LS site or customer
•Perform scheduled and qualified audits to industry (AS9100) and/or UTAS/LS quality system requirements
•Support the execution of zero defect plans, work transfer, UPPAP, and QN reduction initiatives at the suppliers
•Bachelor’s Degree AND 5 years’ related experience OR Master's degree with 3 years related experience (ie. Supplier Development, Quality Assurance, or Continuous improvement).
•Position requires availability to travel approximately 80% of the time, including international travel.
