About The Job

This job is a member of the Sales Team within the Sales Division.

Responsible for providing comprehensive customer training, development, support and engagement to our most valued Corporate and Channel customers to

strengthen their partnership with American Airlines in coordination with our front line sales team.

• Works with assigned Sales Accounts and front line Sales Team

• Assesses each customer request with the goal in mind of balancing American’s goals with the customer values, and leverage accordingly

• Negotiates with each customer to provide value based service delivery and the appropriate level of service on the merit of each situation

• Provides expertise in AA products and services

• Communicates in a compelling way and demonstrates proof of value to the customer

• defines a concise service plan, anticipates customer needs and prepares for customer objections. Develops supporting materials to achieve service call

objectives and positive outcome, and communicates results and follow-up actions with assigned Account Manager

• Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers. Communicates in a compelling way and provides proof of value to

the customer. Understands and demonstrates cross-functional capabilities and maintains a strong internal network

• Develops self, achieves results and finds creative ways to problem solve

• Prioritizes time on the right opportunities to maximize results

• Collaborates with team and seeks opportunities to improve team and individual performance

• Ability to travel and work on weekends or outside of office hours


Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

* Previous Passenger Sales, Premium Service, Reservations or Customer Service experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

* Knowledge of SABRE

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

* Knowledge of American’s full suite of products and services

* Knowledge of American’s Joint Business and Interline partnerships and ability to work across carriers to leverage sales service efforts

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individuals

* Ability to be seelf-motivated and a creative problem solver

* Ability to be Self-disciplined and accountable for performing job functions with minimal Supervision
