Role Summary:
The Software Product Manager will engage customers at mid-level management & technical levels to develop / refine portfolio strategy, influence customer direction and execute strategy. Elevate how we engage with internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of GE Additive software products, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, and analysts.

Essential Responsibilities:

The individual needs to be an analytical thinker and detailed problem solver, with an ability to communicate at all levels. An individual who has knowledge and passion about the additive process. We’re looking for a Product Manager to support the Product Team throughout the development life cycle: from initial ideation through to post go-live optimization and improvement. The Product manager will be responsible for working closely with the Product Owner and delivery team, functional teams and stakeholders to validate and define requirements for ‘best in class’ additive software solutions.

In this role you will :

* Identifies market trends and opportunities

* Execute vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle

* Become a domain / business expert for the product

* Support the establishment / refinement of product management processes

* Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy

* Establish and manage relationship across the functions, partners, customers and technical experts across industries and geographies

* Global travel required as necessary

* Responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across the functions, partners and customers

* Will engage customers as a trusted partner

* Cross functional leadership to execute the vision and strategy

* Responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications

* Supporting the technical team during the development cycle

* Assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes

* Maintains functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area’s systems, organization, and business processes

* Identify and develop process improvements to improve productivity and customer satisfaction

* PLEASE NOTE: This position can be based in Europe (Munich,Germany) or North America (Niskayuna, NY, San Ramon, CA, Boston, MA or West Chester, OH)


* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience

* Strong years of experience as a Product Manager


* GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States or Germany (depending on work Location) for this opening

* Ability and willingness to travel Globally as necessary to meet business needs
