The Server Administrator provides reliable IT infrastructure to the organization and helps secure the company’s IT assets.
Job Responsibilities:
* Configure, maintain and troubleshoot critical data processing infrastructure at corporate headquarters and branch offices: including server operating systems, and server hardware
* Configure and upgrade server environment
* Maintains corporate Email servers
* Manage system back-ups and ensure proper disaster preparation
* Maintains directory services
* Monitor and analyze device configurations to optimize performance and increase security
* Install, maintain and configure applications
* Manage server patching and upgrades
* Maintains up to date infrastructure diagrams and documentation
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
* Achieves organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
* Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
* HS diploma is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or a related field of study is preferred
* 3+ years in IT Infrastructure design and troubleshooting
* Certificates such as MCSE is preferred
* Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Microsoft products
* Demonstrate ability to administer a 500+ node network
* Demonstrate working knowledge of current server operating systems best practices
* Ability to work nights and weekends to support the IT Infrastructure
* Demonstrate knowledge of network equipment, and protocols
* Expert analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to trace issues to root cause
* Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills
* Strong communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
* Strong teamwork, planning and coordination skills
* Self-motivated, adaptable and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
* Ability to work effectively with minimal direction
* Possess or is able to obtain US Passport and can travel domestically/ internationally as needed
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
