Role: Senior Warehouse Operative
Pay: Competitive Salary, 25 days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday
Location: Walton On Thames
To assist in the planning, organisation and control of the efficient day to day running of the warehouse, quality assurance inspections/systems and packing dept.
To assist in the acceptance of goods received into the warehouse.
To ensure goods are labelled and stored in the correct location within the warehouse.
Ensure that goods are taken from stock correctly as per the picking note and placed in the outgoing inspection area.
Use label printer to produce labels where necessary.
Pack and label items to customer specified requirements.
Produce invoices and CofC’s along with any required shipping documents.
After final inspection has taken place, pack goods in the prescribed manner, ensuring correct documentation is placed in the package
Ensure that quality assurance objectives are adhered to.
Monitor the stock and report any discrepancy to the Warehouse manager.
Ensure hazardous goods are placed in the correct location.
Assist in the annual stock control of all stocked items manual.
Ensure that all working practices in the warehouse/office are adhered to.
Ensure that quality assurance/safety/budgetary requirements are adhered to as per the company quality procedures.
To undertake, as directed, any other duties as may be commensurate with the overall efficient running of the Company.
Produces pick notes using both automatic and manual process
Amend and/or cancel pick notes
Manages workflow to ensure all jobs completed in a timely manner
Delegate jobs to Warehouse Operatives
Deputise for Warehouse Manager in his absence
Monitor carriers by obtaining proof of delivery documentation
Assist all departments in all shipping matters
Create and promote positive culture within the team.
Ensure all company procedures are followed.
Education and Experience:
GCSE and above equivalent
3 years of experience in a similar environment
Knowledge of all warehouse functions.
Knowledge of orders and shipments documents
Knowledge of organizational shipments and delivery techniques
