We are currently searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Annapolis, MD (IMS INC) (5010). Employing some of the most talented, dedicated people on the planet is not by chance. The Systems Engineer will work as part of a Requirements/Test team at our IMS headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland. The Systems Engineer will work with development team to provide quality assurance and ensure products meet the customer needs.

Duties to include:

*

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

*

Write and maintain custom scripts for automation using PostMan and Protractor

*

Prepare manual test cases and execute to validate acceptance criteria

*

Analyze requirements to write or modify viable test cases and scenarios

*

Update requirements and test cases in response to customer feedback

*

Create/Edit Documentation for admin, end-user, and installation guides

*

Install and configure software across single and multiple servers

*

Test web software for passenger, baggage, and Operational flights databases

*

Test software for Resource management systems

*

Test integrations between multiple systems and services

*

Provide support and training for team-members on an ‘as-needed’ basis for testing

*

Write and present end of test reports upon completion of test cycles

*

Work with the development team and program manager to address critical issues in a manner that will satisfy the customer needs

*

Manage Test Builds with Jenkins and monitor the Environment using Putty

*

Keep track of and manage test efforts for multiple different projects within the same time period

*

Update compliance matrices for upcoming project proposals

*

Work with an offshore/onshore collaborative environment

Required Experience:

*

Experience working in an agile environment

*

Intermediate Proficiency with Databases (SQL)

*

Intermediate Proficiency with Javascript

*

Experience Managing a Test Environment

*

Understanding of Website Design and Architecture

*

UML Design

*

Requirements gathering

*

UI/UX Testing

*

Experience writing test plans

*

Experience with test management tools such as Team Foundation Server, Enterprise Architect, Rational Clearquest

*

General knowledge of troubleshooting software, network communications and user security settings.

*

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education:

*

BA or BS or equivalent experience is required

*

8+ Years of industry experience
