There is an opening within the Aircraft Group Components Sector (East Aurora) for a Sr. Program Manager to support aftermarket and some OEM programs. While you’ll be responsible for compliance with contractual requirements, ensuring adherence to the program schedule, and leading a variety of resources; this is not a traditional Program Manager role.
The nuances of aftermarket business, require that this program manager take a general business management approach to their programs. You can’t plan for some of the issues you’ll have to resolve in this position, and you’ll need to be creative and analytical to come up with the right solution for the business.
Here’s a look at what you can expect….
•Primary to work with the customer on all program related issues, and involving technical SME’s when appropriate, periodic travel required.
•Support and lead in establishing pricing agreements, monitoring and managing cost performance, providing “bigger picture” strategic guidance to internal team.
•Assures that the contractual requirements are met through planning, monitoring and expediting, working closely with contracts administration.
•Provides inputs to Sales Managers and others, contributing to demand management and forecast.
•Support of proposal activity as required.
•Monitors program costs, schedules, task completion and deliveries against the program plan.
Here's what you'll need...
•Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field such as engineering.
•At least seven (7) years of related experience, involving team leadership and relationship management.
•Project Management experience with a proven track record of driving results.
•Familiarity with Moog products and processes.
•Potential to manage development programs as the need arises.
