Our company is experiencing tremendous growth across all of our practice areas! In support of future work, we are reviewing resumes for the position Senior Network Engineer. This is a contingent position - actual employment will be dictated by contract award. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be contacted by a member of our recruiting team. The Senior Network Engineer will develop and maintain functional and secure networks. In this position, you will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize networks for the users. This position will require an active TS/SCI DoD security clearance; we are unable to consider candidates not cleared at this level. Primary Duties and Responsibilities This work will be in support of the U.S. Army Regional Cyber Center (USARCC-C) based in Fort Huachuca, AZ. In this role, you will utilize your excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture in order to: * Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) * Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices * Monitor network performance and integrity * Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure * Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness * Mentor team members on technical issues * Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery) * Communicate with users when needed * Maintain complete technical documentation * Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability Education and Experience Requirements * BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred * Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator * Solid background in network administration and architecture * In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF) * Familiarity with access control models and network security * Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl) * Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools) * Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS) * Sharp troubleshooting skills * Ability to work independently * Organizational and mentoring skills Certification Requirements: * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) * Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist or Certified Internet Associate * IAT-II Baseline Certification Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance ZENETEX is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
