The C2BMC National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The C2BMC program is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against all ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.


As member of the Integration & Test (I&T) Functional Area of the Missile Defense National Team for C2BMC, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•Development, implementation, documentation, and peer review processes and procedures to ensure compliance with government reporting guidelines

•Systems requirements documentation and military standards (MIL-STD 6016, 6020, 3011)

•Conducting real-time and post-test data analysis and reporting

•Create test Discrepancy Reports to document issues

•Assist development with the investigation and resolution of issues

•Review and comment on testability issues and obvious design flaws

•Anticipate data collection points

•Coordinate development of plans for and conduct of anomaly test and analysis as required.

Technical Skills: The candidate must possess the technical skills to evaluate software, algorithms and processes that enable the C2BMC element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) to disseminate BMDS tracks to other BMDS Elements, US Forces, Allies, and Coalition partners via the BMDS communications network and Link-16 tactical communications networks.

These evaluations support verification and characterization of C2BMC Disseminate Track functions and capabilities in both a COCOM and a Global Engagement Management (GEM) context. The testing will take place in a variety of environments/venues (stand-alone and integrated testing; in a laboratory, at a warfighter site, and in multi-element ground and flight tests).

The candidate must be able to individually plan and conduct tests, collect and analyze data from those tests, turn the data into performance characterization, and communicate results to test team members, test management, other program teams, and the customer through both presentations and formal test reports.

Experience should include:


Use of DoD test methodologies

* Functional capability related test/analysis planning and execution

* Planning and execution of test data collection

Travel can be expected, but will likely average less than 1 trip every 3-4 months. Some non-standard work hours are possible intermittently.

This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.

Basic Qualifications


This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship


Requires a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry


This position REQUIRES an ACTIVE SECRET Clearance


DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA

Preferred skills:

* Experience and expertise with Link-16 tactical communications networks and MIL- STD 6016

* MDA element analysis

* Experience with BMDS elements or components, to include operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), and developmental systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, SBX) in either a test or operational environment

* Statistical methods, to include covariance analysis

* Manipulation of large data sets

* Spreadsheet analysis, and associated tools; MATLAB

* JAVA software or PYTHON scripting development, Perl, PL/SQL queries

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
