This position is part of the IT Support of the Airport Customer Service and Airport Operations teams. These teams are the front line workers that make the airline operation happen. They deserve the best support that we can provide to keep their equipment and software ready to be used when it is needed. This position provides software to support the operations and safety of the airline and traveling public.

Responsible for the design, code, test, evaluation, implementation, and support of various applications and products in support of the Airport Customer Service organization. Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and software programming. Implement releases, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment. Ensure platform performance and availability meet enterprise objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning. Duties may include capacity planning, workload modeling, system maintenance/administration, and diagnostics.
Essential Responsibilities*:
Understands business requirements in order to provide the technical design of computer software
Prepare and review estimates for tasks and/or projects
Possesses programming expertise in the Java/J2EE programming language in order to develop and maintain computer software
Develops appropriate software and documentation according to Delta standards
Supports and troubleshoots computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems
Follows Delta standards and methodologies in the development and implementation of computer software
Works/Consults across multiple projects; functions as an informal leader
Works on complex projects that require subject matter expertise
Provides direction, tools, and process support to less senior employees
Designs, and outlines solution architectures providing conceptual, logical and application level design
Designs and develops solutions with multiple technologies, complex environments and determine which is appropriate for the situation
Prepares and executes unit, system, and integration test scripts within multiple environments
Ability to clearly document own work products and review and contribute to the documentation across multiple projects
*May perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of multiple systems (operating/integration/architecture) and programming languages/methodologies. Thorough understanding of server and desk top based technology, utilizing network systems related to enterprise view. Previous airline experience is ideal.
Must have the ability to transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 5+ Years in Engineering or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training
Development of web services in Java. Also, experience in consuming web services
Minimum of 5 years in producing and consuming messages using MQ Messaging
Minimum of 5 years in using IBM WebSphere application and web servers to produce or support applications
Good understanding and experience using web services using JAX-RPC and JAXWS
Experience in front end web technologies and frameworks: HTML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Angular JS, SOAP, REST, API, AJAX, Spring and Hibernate
Experience in XML and XML Schemas
Experience using JMS and EMS
Experience in Object-oriented design documenting that design in diagrams and documents
Experience in supporting a mission-critical application in a 24x7x365 environment
Expert understanding of SDLC from design through production implementation (Agile or Waterfall)

Desire experience in designing, developing and deploying applications in Xamerin on multiple mobile platforms
Experience in C# and XAML languages would be a plus
Draft designs that meet the corporate standards but are flexible to handle growth
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to facilitate meetings to discuss topics and resolve issues
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and able to work effectively during high airport operations support incidents
Familiarity with the airport business processes - specifically aircraft deicing processes or baggage transfer processes
Desire 5+ years of experience with one or more agile development practices (i.e. Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
Familiarity and experience with agile engineering practices like Test Automation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), DevOps, etc.
Have experience building API's for both external and internal consumption would be a plus as well as experience as a technical lead for a development project
