CONTINGENT UPON AWARD OF CONTRACT
L-3 RASM-E is a diverse program located in several locations on the east coast. Our Headquarter office is located in Ft. Bragg, NC. This position will be at our MCAS Miramar, CA. location and is part of the Maintenance Team. This position will support the RESET program.
We are looking for an individual that is a self-starter, organized and detail oriented. You will be required to communicate with all levels of employees from our Mechanics to the Program Manager. Work hours will typically be are Monday – Friday day shift, but can vary due to the mission requirements. You may need to work weekends and or holidays as the mission requires. Hours will be set by the unit.
ECO/HAZMAT Inspectors will enforce Safety and Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); inspects HAZMAT and ensures compliance with regulatory procedures to include OSHA, EPA, and local site requirements. Maintains accountability of all hazardous waste, to include issuance and turn-in; maintains OSHA 300 Log on accidents and injuries; prepares and delivers required training on Safety/HAZMAT requirements. Coordinates with Federal EPA and OSHA inspectors; transports AMMO IAW appropriate regulations. ECO/HAZMAT Inspector will be trained and knowledgeable on paint and media blast booth operational requirements. This position will report to the QA supervisor.
*High School graduate or equivalent.
*A minimum of seven (7) years relavant experience.
*Must be trained IAW CFR 49, 172.700 through 172.704 at a DoD approved school on applicable regulations for all modes within the past 24 months. They will receive refresher training every two years. Must be knowledgeable of all OSHA and EPA requirements.
*Must be knowledgeable of ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001-2008 quality management systems requirements.
*Must be able to pass the AMMO-62 Course (Shipping HAZMAT) and maintain currency.
*Must obtain and maintain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government. *Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for Common Access Card (CAC).
*Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license when required by job assignment.
Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, portable stands & navigate these without assistance. Must be able to work at heights 70 feet above the ground, work in extreme heat/cold, work in the following environmental conditions: noise, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odors, dust. Able to bend, reach, stoop, balance, push, pull, kneel, grasp, crouch, crawl, & work in close spaces that restrict movement including aircraft fuel tanks for extended periods of time. Able to walk & stand for sustained periods of time. Able to work primarily with fingers such as pinching, typing. Capable of routinely performing industry standard ambidextriosities required to complete tasks. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Able to maneuver up to 50 pounds.
