Quality Assurance Analyst/Engineer

The QA Analyst/Engineer will be part of a larger team dedicated to quality of WESCAM Products and Systems. This role may have required travel up to 50% with some of the travel being outside of North America.

Tasks to be Accomplished

* Compile and analyze quality performance data

* Develop graphs, charts and quality reports

* Coordinate with Production, Program Management and Engineering to conduct product failure analysis

* Liaise with customers and Customer Service on quality matters and act as the customer's representative in the certification of systems

* Responsible to support incoming, in-process and final inspection tests

* Responsible for developing and upgrading the BPMS system


Skills Required

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS-9100 processes/standards

* Basic understanding of statistical analysis and reporting

* Experience in process quality control and product testing

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Graphing, Access)

* Product-related software functionality

* Basic knowledge and understanding of the Electro-Mechanical assembly processes

* Experience with Lean Six Sigma process improvement concepts (i.e. root cause analysis)

* Process orientated mindset

* A systematic process thinker

* Solid understanding of how to do process audits

* Understanding of NPI (New Product Introduction Process)

Experience & Education Requirements

* Minimum 5-7 years experience in a technical capacity

* Quality Assurance Certified

* Experience working to government contracts

* CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQT (Certified Quality Technician) is strongly preferred

* Mechanical Engineering degree or ME degree considered a very strong asset
