Design, develop and test aircraft propulsion systems and components using the principles of engineering and science. Perform propulsion analysis and engine systems certification; provide design and analytical support of externals, mechanical components and control systems, including fuel systems and environmental control systems (e.g. thermal and air supply systems such as APU, bleed air, air conditioning, and cabin pressurization). Perform heat transfer and flow analysis; steady state and transient analysis; ECS system installation design (engine and subsystems); investigate and resolve powerplant and ECS problems (pressurization, humidity, recirculation); and collaborate with engine manufacturers and operators for in service support requirements. The position also requires extensive use of 3-D Computer Aided Design tools (CATIA) to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers.
