KBRwyle is seeking a degreed engineer experienced in industrial control systems project management to support KBRwyle’s Navy Smart Grid development work. Related control systems include building automation, utility plant distributed control systems, utility Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Advanced Metering Infrastructure. Navy Smart Grid systems use the OSIsoft PI System and ESRI ArcGIS as the primary software applications to integrate and analyze control system data to provide operational intelligence to enable advanced facility and energy management processes for naval installations. Duties include project planning and cost estimating for the development of regional and naval installation projects assisting the KBRwyle project manager for execution of multiple and simultaneous Smart Grid projects worldwide. Project plans provide the organization of multiple team members consisting of system integrators, engineers, and IT specialists across project tasks including field investigations into control systems design and configuration, translation of controls system data into equipment and control point data models, development of system graphics and analytics, development of a variety of Smart Grid features to provide end user capabilities, testing, evaluation, and training. Candidate will execute a leadership position within the Navy Smart Grid development team with focus on project management, scheduling, cost estimating, project reporting, and subcontractor management. This is a remote position where the candidate is expected to proactively engage with team members and their supervisor to ensure a highly effective remote work output.
Education/Experience: The candidate is required to have Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university, have and maintain a license as a Professional Engineer within one of the fifty United States, hold, or be able to obtain, a secret clearance, and have a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in a project management/leadership position. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or a graduate certificate in project management, including instruction in agile project management, is required. Candidates should have experience effectively modeling, scheduling, resourcing, communicating, collaborating on, cost estimating and delivering projects using Project Standard, Project Professional, Project Pro for Office 365, SharePoint, and SharePoint Online.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidates should have a solid understanding of key project management concepts and terminology and have strong leadership, communication, organization, time management, team management, scheduling, cost control, risk management, contract management, task management, and quality management skills.
