Our global Landing Systems team is committed to continuous improvement we work hard to make our solutions lighter-weight, stronger and more technically advanced, so that plane travel can be safer, more affordable and more sustainable in the years to come. Primary Responsibilities:

* Lead cross-functional quality investigations, utilizing structured tools and driving an aligned outcome in a timely manner
* Interrogate technical details of quality rejections and communicate action planning as appropriate to all levels of the organization
* Perform customer interface and manage flow down of customer requirements
* Create quality documents & support the development & post-development phases of the program
* Drive quality performance in support of UTAS and external customer goals and objectives
* Liaise with the internal/external organizations/customers on quality issues
* Collect and analyze data, and generate technical reports and presentations
* Support and maintain the implementation of PPAP and key characteristics in conjunction with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering groups
* Coach Integrated Product Team (IPT), Operations and Supply Chain to improve quality levels on difficult to manufacture designs
* Coordinate all Quality requirements as they relate to the program
* Generate and maintain driver metrics and provide input to internal and customer meetings (CAB, Program Review, Quality Review, etc)

Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum 5 years of related aerospace, automotive or medical quality engineering experience.
* Has implemented, maintained and/or improved APQP or PPAP processes
* Good understanding of design and machining / manufacturing methods with the ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings
* Strong Six Sigma/Lean deployment and process improvement experience (Black belt preferred)
* Excellent working knowledge of ISO / AS9000 standard, SPC, structured problem solving tools (8D, fault tree, etc.)
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills requiring minimal supervision
* Proven leadership ability in order to drive timely resolution of quality concerns, requiring minimal supervision.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and SAP software programs
* Superior communication skills and command of the English language, with an aptitude for conveying complex technical information to a wide variety of audiences
* Demonstrated analytical skills and project management experience
* Strong ability to make quality decisions while remaining customer focused

Preferred Qualifications:

* ASQ CQE certification, preferred.

Education:
* Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technical discipline
