Works directly for the Materials Manager and interfaces with two material planners on a daily basis. Reviews sales backlog in SAP, creates/maintains Master Schedule with inputs from Program Managers, production, quality, engineering and supply chain personnel in an effort to level load work cells. Utilize material requirements planning techniques to support the Master Schedule while meeting inventory turn objectives for the business. Analyzes material variances to standards and takes work orders to a completed status when products are delivered.
Create/Maintain Master Schedule for the production plan and lead weekly meetings for status and update of the Master Schedule. Inform Leadership of potential delays or disruptions to the plan and provide options to regain schedule if necessary. Perform detailed analysis of work in progress and all delivered product for cost and other performance metrics.
Maintains and creates SW for all planning functions. Develops and maintains standard factory PFEP (Plan for every part) templates for all programs on a quarterly basis. Collects data from SAP and update metrics for PDPR, ACE, standard factory, departmental needs. Lead and participate on Kaizen events to improve upon planning and line back logistics. Provides feedback to ME's to maintain BOM accuracy.
Strong analytical skills - detail oriented. Ability to work well with others in stressful conditions and in time constrained situations where a sense of urgency is necessary. Ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner. Mentor material planners and work with others to improve upon existing practices. Open to new ideas and willing to trial them in a test environment and share knowledge gained from these experiences. Capture data for historical purposes and provide cost analysis over time for multiple programs.
Minimum 5 years of production planning experience in SAP manufacturing environment.
Minimum 3 years of lead experience in planning or leading projects.
Master Scheduling experience
SAP proficiency in materials planning required
APICS certification strongly preferred
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft, Project, Excel, Word, etc.)
Continuous Improvement experience in an office environment and creating standard work
U.S. Citizen required.
Education: Bachelors degree in business, management, accounting or similar discipline
