Currently, the San Marcos Texas facility is seeking a Production Supervisor/Manager to Lead a production team in the manufacturing of quality products delivered on time and with compliance to safety requirements while coordinating with Support Staff.
Level of Responsibility:
Leads a project team or multiple smaller project teams or leads a functional team or unit in area of expertise.
Prepares, monitors, and may be responsible for budget, staffing and or business/operational results of a functional team or project.
Directly manages individual contributors and may manage supervisors or group leaders.
Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Must have and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the manufacturing processes and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Promote the principles of the 4 Gears
Must have coaching and counseling skills.
Must possess ethical standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook Essential functions will include:
Implements the principles of Lean manufacturing with focus on the fundamentals of TAKT time, Standard Work and One-Piece flow.
Other responsibilities include work schedule/assignments and manpower planning, auditing, labor review and approval, and maintaining compliance in areas such as tool equipment calibration, AMQAS, withhold tags, corrective action and CPI/SPC.
Communicates effectively with all team members while providing the vision necessary for the success of the team.
Participates in developing program, plant and team policy deployment objectives, macro learning, contingency plan, process improvement, business objectives.
Establishes and communicates individual and team goals, job assignments, evaluates performance, identifies training needs consistent with the organization objectives, provides feedback on status and progress and individual development plans.
Education: BA/BS degree w/6–10+ years experience
MA/MS degree w/4–7+ years experience
