--Responsible for execution of the production schedule and general supervision of assigned technicians
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervise assigned Repair Shop technicians performing tests and repairs on aviation units per FAA requirements and in accordance with component maintenance manual (CMM) requirements.
-Train and motivate employees in their work standards.
-Ensure that the priorities set by the master schedule are met and that incorrect problems are referred to the Repair Shop Manager. Coordinate with them to find solutions.
-Ensure that the work order information available in the ERP are correct and up to date
-Ensure quality and promote efficient operations of the line. Adherence to all quality standards and strong focus on customer satisfaction.
-Ensure that all repair supplies (equipment means, benches) are on hand for what is scheduled.
-Ensure the materials needed for repair are within standard guidelines and procedures and ensure compliance with those procedures.
-Recommend methods to improve production efficiencies. Work to improve and develop processes to reduce cycle time.
-Conduct meetings on a regular basis with all team members under his/her supervision.
-Accountability for confidential and/or sensitive information that could lead to damage to the reputation and/or competitive posture of SAI

Candidate skills & requirements
Education / Experience:
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Must have minimum 18 months of avionics experience for Repairman Certificate
-1 year of supervisory experience : good interpersonal skills required
-Basic level – Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
-Knowledge of 5S, Lean and Kaizen methods is a plus.
