This role assists in conducting distribution and network studies to maximize the efficiency of MRO operations, analyzes distribution and storage of goods to minimize costs and maximize profitability, and forecasts inventory levels requirements in order to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.

Core Responsibilities

Analyzes inventory levels; determines appropriate inventory levels based on historical data, fleet growth, and anticipated changes to the business; develops recommended inventory purchase list for new programs

Analyzes aging inventory, develops recommendations for disposition, and takes appropriate action including selling to the secondary market

Manages various consigned materials programs and serves as the business unit point of contact between the service centers and the consignee

Develops and maintains various measures and metrics to monitor inventory levels and identify trends

Coordinates movement of inventory within the service center network as needed

Assists with implementation, improvement, and maintenance of the inventory module of the business system

Develops and improves inventory procedures, reporting mechanisms, and training modules

Develops and implements new inventory stocking methods (i.e. Kanban, POU, consignment)

Maintains all system supply chain setups

Places material orders

Monitors order status and follows up on past due orders

Performs other duties as assigned


AA/AS degree w/5–10+ years experience
BA/BS degree w/2–5+ years experience
MA/MS degree w/0–2+ years experience


MRP experience

Demonstrated analytical ability

Excellent communication skills

Ability to interface with all levels of personnel

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Ability to make decisions that impact strategic goals concerning inventory, WIP, and throughput

Working knowledge of planning business system operation, SAP, and query report writer
