Duties and Responsibilities
This is a remote position that sources, interviews, evaluates and assists the hiring manager in the selection of First Officer's for the Company.
Conducts interviews with potential associates using a competency-based assessment model to draw accurate conclusions regarding a candidate’s experiences, skills, and abilities. Gathers information regarding education, experience, technical skills, etc., that may not be addressed on the application or resume.
Ensures adherence to all EEO legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act and other government compliance requirements in regards to interviews, testing and hiring processes.
Confirms that credentials and references are investigated.
Consults with department hiring managers/supervisors to discuss current and upcoming staffing needs. Shares and communicates accurate information with client groups.
Ensures that follow-up interviews with hiring manager/supervisor and other decision makers are scheduled.
Provides creative sourcing ideas, including social media, to identify qualified candidates.
Utilizes the Applicant Tracking System to review requisitions and match applicants with job requirements.
Contributes ideas and actions towards the continuous improvement of talent acquisition processes, including the development and maintenance of operational procedures.
Maintains necessary files related to applications, interviews and testing procedures.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned or required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
Bachelor’s degree in a related area and at least 2 years of recruiting related experience or a combination of education and experience. Familiar with talent acquisition systems. Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years recruitment experience is preferred. A PHR/SPHR is preferred. Familiar with iCIMS talent acquisition software.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Travel up to 85% of the time, including overnight stays
