Provide temporary, on-site flight support for owners under the ProOwnership management agreement and Transition Pilot Services Agreement. Conducts other domestic and international flights as assigned by the Chief Pilot, Transportation.
I. Enhances ownership experience by providing product expertise on Citation and King Air systems, avionics and flying characteristics. Consistently communicates product and ownership benefits during flight activities.
II. Acts as a pilot mentor to flight crews and owner/operators in Citation and/or KingAir products by relating personal experiences and company best practices to ensure a successful entry into service.
III. Acts as a company liaison between the owner and Textron Aviation to ensure that the concerns of all parties are fairly represented. Serves as the primary point of contact for all issues relating to the remotely based flight operation.
IV. Possesses a solution-driven mindset and willingness to explore all avenues on the path to resolution.
V. Monitors flight activities to ensure flights are conducted within the guidelines set forth in the operations manual such as crew duty limits and rest requirements, runway lengths and weather minimums.
VI. Clearly and effectively communicates with the owner regarding Pilot-In-Command responsibilities, standards of safe operations, and efficient methods of aircraft utilization.
VII. Maintains familiarity with all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations. Complies with all regulations and local operating procedures.
VIII. Will warrant that safety of operations is paramount with each flight by ensuring that safety procedures are followed and by monitoring the flight schedule to ensure flights are conducted with the guidelines set forth in the operations manual.
IX. Ensures training and flight currency for all phases of operations. Informs the Chief Pilot when any currency is approaching expiration.
X. Evaluates aircraft flown for mechanical and cosmetic discrepancies and accurately communicates with the Maintenance Manager and the applicable Service Center to maintain the highest possible standards of quality and safety.
XI. Works with the maintenance manager to ensure that aircraft flown are scheduled for required inspections. Ensures that the aircraft are certified to MNPS/RVSM/RNP Standards in order to meet all travel requirements, both domestic and international.
XII. Attends training as required. Training will include: Initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training and other training as deemed necessary by management.
XIII. Performs office tasks such as expense report and flight log preparation, international planning, aircraft flight manual, Electronic Flight Bag (iPad) updates and other tasks normally associated with day-to-day flight operations.
XIV. Responsible for coordinating vacation requests with the solutions manager assigned to the owner.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree required in:
o Business Management
o Other related fields
· Minimum 2 years company experience or 5 years industry experience
· Level will be based on relevant experience, scope of role, and manager’s discretion.
· Ability to obtain a valid US passport
· FAA First Class medical
· Airline Transport Pilot certification and demonstrated piloting skills higher than the minimums stated from the appropriate Practical Test Standards.
· 2,000 hours multi-engine time
· 500 hours turbo-jet time
· International operating experience
· Experience in Citation or King Air products preferred
· FAA Flight Instructor Certification required
· Ability to consistently comply with customer insurance requirements
