General responsibilities of the position: ** Please note that this posting is to create a pool of candidates **
Following working instructions and drawings, ensure that parts are clean and correctly prepared using rinsing, electrochemical and sandblasting processes. Ensure adequate masking around sections to be painted. Use tools to apply different coatings, and heat treat these coatings in accordance with regulations and working instructions. Ensure compliance of work tools and products used by maintaining logbooks.
Ensure the inventory of necessary equipment is kept up to date so as to ensure a constant flow of materials in line with client requirements.
Participate actively and constructively in the continuous improvement initiatives of the department.
The successful candidate may be asked to operate several machines simultaneously.
Specific responsibilities of position: Qualifications required: • Skills Training Certificate (STC) in industrial painting – aerospace sector
• IT knowledge: MS Outlook and SAP an asset
• Strong ability to read drawings
• Ability to follow working instructions precisely
• Ability to read and understand technical working instructions
•Fluent in French (written and verbal) - knowledge of English considered an asset
• High level of autonomy and resourcefulness
• Interpersonal skills: team player and positive attitude
• Flair for problem solving and an analytical mind
• Experience in an industrial environment
