Job description

Manage the Operational Process under the direction of the COO by following these duties.

•Ensure that Safety is a priority.
•Manages the cost, quality and delivery of all aspects of the group.
•Integrate quality control methods into the process.
•Manages the utilization of personnel, including capacity planning, leading, organizing and directing such functions as labor utilization, flexibility, performance management and process improvement in assigned area.
•Report the key metrics for the shops activity, identify trends and events using statistical means, manages the improvements of these activities.
•Ensures that qualifications of personnel and equipment are accurate and within specification.
•Define and implement changes as necessary to improve process and financial results.
•Works closely with Human Resources in the handling of employee relations issues.
•Reviews the performance and conducts performance evaluations of assigned personnel
•Supports and implements all SafranHE and FAA rules and regulations.
•Travel Required: 5%, including international.

•Establishes goals and objectives for Operational Area, develops funding sources; authorizes expenditures, and prepares departmental budget. Has authority to act at his/her own discretion, with annual review or audit by the Chief Operations Officer.
•Assigns and monitors work of subordinates, including training and coaching; conducting of ongoing performance planning and appraisal; hiring, transferring, promoting, or terminating employees; reviewing the recommendations of subordinate supervisors; and recommending actions.

4.0 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities
•Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Intermediate – Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project.
•Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries.
•Excellent communication with interpersonal and analytical skills.
•Self-starter with unquestionable integrity.

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
