The Operations Lead (OL) reports to the Operations Manager for a 24X7 operations center. The OL will direct personnel in a real-time operations environment and oversee the day to day operations of a complex system. When on the operations floor, the OL will be the senior Boeing Operations representative. The OL is required to obtain certification as OL within 3 months of report date. The OL is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of mission objectives.

Other duties include and not limited to: delegates responsibilities among staff members and operations team, serves as the operations focal point between management and customer representatives during both nominal and anomalous operations, coordinates planned/unplanned facility activities that may impact operations, and participates in the development of engineering process, procedures, methods, and tools.

The OL requires strong analytical skills and technical supervisory experience. The OL must have strong communications and interpersonal skills to work effectively with management, customers and operations team. The OL must be a team player, with demonstrated experience leading a team of operators. The OL must be able to function effectively in a high-stress operational environment.

This position works 12-hour rotating shifts.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:


1-3+ years hands on experience working in a UNIX/LINUX environment


Capable of working any shift


1-3+ years experience in Space/Satellite systems


Basic knowledge of Linux commands

Experience with Customer relations

Typical Education/Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

**This position requires a current Top Secret/SCI clearance and is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence. Please include clearance and date of recent SSBI on profile/resume to be considered.**
