This position requires strong analytical, purchasing and inventory control experience and organizational skills. Manages, inventory and associated KPIs, purchases and supervises purchasing, initiates procurement strategies to include but not limited to min/max, chemical line stocking, direct line feed, purchasing agreements with key suppliers and outsourced services. Identifies trends in purchasing, identifies areas of improvement, as well as projects to improve overall Purchasing and Inventory control effectiveness. Position is also an escalation point related to supplier issues and material shortages. Works closely with the Site Purchasing Manager to ensure proper execution of purchasing strategies and Inventory planning and control.
A. Champions inventory reduction and control plans. Analyzes the data and proposes new ideas to better control purchasing practices and inventory management.
B. Champions process/procedure modifications and training of employees that will be impacted by the changes.
C. Works to develop inventory levels and develops implementation strategies to minimize excess inventory and obsolescence.
D. Leads a team of buyers in expediting material, working with suppliers (as necessary) and managing on time delivery to align with production need dates and inventory reduction initiatives for both MRO and RAT production programs.
E. Analyzes data on third party repairs and prepares a trend analysis to determine right sizing of inventory (min/max) on appropriate commodities.
F. Works to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
G. Works closely with Site Purchasing Manager to support the purchasing function and stakeholders, communicating any supply challenges which may impact business operations.
H. Monitors and advises any purchasing issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization.
I. Builds, maintains and manages supplier relationships and works closely with Supplier Quality and Supplier Performance teams on continuous improvement on the top suppliers comprising the 95% of spend.
J. Data Analyst responsibilities include developing and maintaining daily, weekly and monthly KPI metrics and presentations.
K. Must have intimate knowledge of Customer Service, to challenge items requested to purchase and to manage inventory levels.
L. Must be a team player, willing to analyze data quickly to begin effecting immediate improvement in inventory and purchasing practices.
M. Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Candidate skills & requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Supply Chain experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). • Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
• Thorough understanding of SIOP and operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, forecasting and inventory control.
• Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
• Ability to analyze data and provide appropriate recommendations as well as influence others to execute timely required objectives.
