The Mission Operations Director (OD) shall lead an operational mission team in support of a multi-spacecraft large scale space vehicle program. The OD will direct this multi-mission command & control operators on a daily basis.
This position will require professional interfacing with multiple externals and customers on a daily basis. This position is a 24x7 shift position (8 hrs on weekdays, 12 hours on weekends/revolving).
The selected candidate must be able to:
Effectively interface with external and internal customers and contractor leadership
Provide technical direction in response to system hardware and software issues
Support the integration of new hardware and software
Provide solutions and options to anomalous conditions
Coordinate problem resolutions with external segments by prioritizing system resources
Perform quality control checks across the operations teams
Document system discrepancies
Approve operational procedures

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
Candidates must possess an active/ current TS/SSBI clearance. Ability to start is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.
Experience with satellite operations.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team.
Planned and executed long and short term tasks and set/accomplish operational objectives.
Functioned at the highest levels during stressful and critical operational activities.
Excellent communication (written and oral) skills are required.
Capable of working in a stressful business environment
