As an Mechanical Engineer INROADS Intern at UTC Aerospace Systems, Riverside, California you will take ownership of several projects to include: Visual management of pulse line on both GE and RR IFS. Technical and lean support of onload activity relative to the Inner IBOS kits into Riverside Manufacturing. You will also: Identify & implement shop floor process improvements that increase output and reduce overall costs. Assist in creating and maintaining shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, process control, and tooling definition/requirements). Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives that support continuous process improvement. Participate in special projects that could involve cost reduction, special processes, machining processes and suppler support activities. This internship will be a great learning opportunities to hold key responsibilities for process improvement on a production team. The daily requirements are technically challenging, providing you the opportunity to develop your engineering skills.
Must be an active member of INROADS
Must be willing to work 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
A culminating presentation will be required at the end of the session, reflecting on experiences and knowledge gained from the business.

Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework by Spring 2018.
GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
