Marketing Coordinator (15 months)

The incumbent will be responsible for the development and execution of national and local marketing for Transat Distribution Canada wholly owned and franchisee leisure travel retail agencies. The Marketing Coordinator will be the primary point of contact across all marketing disciplines and will report directly to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

* Create national AIR MILES marketing campaigns with preferred vendors and direct daily requirements to execute them on time, on budget, and with the highest quality standards;

* Collaborate with the Web, CRM and social teams on the delivery of monthly CRM initiatives;

* Provide marketing expertise on marketing programs, marketing vehicles and opportunities to help members of the network;

* Evaluate co-op advertising proposals; manage the creative development/budget and trafficking of final marketing creative;

* Coordinate daily requirements of the online electronic portal for promotional items; comprising; inventory management, monthly reports, monthly teleconferences and occasional attendance at trade shows;

* Coordinate the day-to-day financial management of marketing programs that provides appropriate estimates, approval and budget control management;

* Monitor, review and report on all marketing activities and results;

* Contribute to the annual marketing plan process, making recommendations on process efficiency and test plans;

* Actively participate in internal meetings and network conferences as needed.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or relevant experience;

* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing planning, digital, OOH, print, social media, radio, newspaper – in an advertising agency or in the retail and/or leisure travel industry;

* Proficient using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and MS Excel;

* Excellent communication/presentation skills (both written and oral);

* Able to meet tight timelines while working on multiple projects simultaneously;

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team;

* Great organizational skills with a keen sense for detail;

* Innovative and creative;

* Basic knowledge of the travel industry, an asset;

* Excellent knowledge of French (primary language) and English, spoken and written.
