General responsibilities of the position: Pratt & Whitney Canada is looking for a Manufacturing Method Agent who as knowledge in Heat Treat and Brazing for our facility in Longueuil. Your main responsibilities will be to work on creating and writing the technical documentation and/or numerical control programs required for heat treatment and/or brazing of aeronautical engine parts. You will also have to support the implementation of these processes in a production and/or development environment. Knowledge of CATIA V5 is an important asset and you need to have 2 to 3 years’ of experience.
Specific responsibilities of position: As a Manufacturing Method Agent (Heat Treat and Brazing) you will have to:
•Coordinate production and parts development projects;
•Create and write complex manufacturing operation sheets for parts and assemblies of aeronautical engines;
•Create numerical control programs (Furnace thermal cycles);
•Interpret and validate technical requirements from drawings, models and customer specifications;
•Send and manage change requests for heat treat cycles;
•Define support systems for part fixturing;
•Support parts inspection in collaboration with related services;
•Coordinate the introduction of new products and changes through strict and standardized quality processes;
•Provide technical support to the manufacturing workshop and external vendors;
•Establish standard working practices in order to improve the quality and robustness of manufacturing processes;
•Support quality notifications;
•First article inspection verification and approval;
•Support heat treat and brazing line certifications and audits.
Qualifications required: •A college diploma with 2 to 3 years’ experience;
•Knowledge of CATIA V5 (asset);
•SAP, PLM, IMS and MSP, AS9102 (asset);
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project;
•Fluent both in French and English (spoken and written);
•Ability to work in a team, initiative and good communication skills.
