Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will perform engineering associated with the manufacturing process. In the role of Manufacturing Engineer, you will make a lasting impact on the operations of the plant by enabling manufacturing uptime, cost reduction, and increased product quality. Your contributions will range from manufacturing support to new production introduction and new process development. This is a 3rd shift position - 11pm through 7am.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will :

* Perform practical analytical problem-solving skills

* Provide tooling and equipment support for production areas

* Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and technical documentation

* Drive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including productivity, quality and Six Sigma initiatives

* Take responsibility for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes including safety, quality, Lean and six-sigma development in assigned areas

* Utilize Lean principles and participate in action workouts to improve product cost, throughput and quality

* Display a dedicated, team-oriented work ethic with personal ownership while having a goal-focused mindset

* Possess a strong desire to grow and learn new manufacturing processes and possess ability to know when to seek help

* Have flexibility in hours / shift of work

* Ability to flex schedule for training and / or shop coverage needs

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

* Ability and Willingness to work 3rd shift

* Ability to flex schedule for training and / or shop coverage needs

Desired Characteristics:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Electrical / Industrial engineering from an ABET accredited college or university

* Advanced experience with CNC (EDM drill / sink process, Laser Ablation processes, Creep Feed Grind) including CNC technician set up experience

* CMM Programming experience

* Automation / Robotics programming experience

* Prior process / manufacturing knowledge of Airfoils and Aviation High Pressure Turbine blade manufacturing

* Hands-on shop floor experience with experience providing technical direction

* Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills

* Six Sigma training / certification
