General responsibilities of the position: Cost estimation of part manufacturing and Engine Module assembly and Negotiation of production cost with partners.
Specific responsibilities of position: •Cost estimation of part manufacturing and Engine Module assembly and Negotiation of production cost with partners;
•Analyse technical drawings to understand the manufacturing process involved;
•Establish the most optimum raw material and manufacturing process to obtain the best production cost;
•Create Catia 3D models to evaluate the volume of raw material required and the volume of raw material removal required to obtain the finished part;
•Establish the manufacturing Feed and Speed for every operation to prove the cycle time;
•Analyse and compare the Partner’s manufacturing process to determine what is not optimum and apply it in the negotiation to reduce cost;
•Work with the manufacturing experts to understand and document specific manufacturing processes;
•Prepare and Lead negotiations of manufacturing cost with partners;
•Participate in team meeting to establish negotiation strategies;
•Manage and issue all partnership program reports on a monthly basis in compliance with the collaboration agreement rules;
•Provide support to Marketing, Engineering, Operation, Finance and Aftermarket groups on any cost related issues;
•Participate in continuous improvement activities of partnership processes.
Qualifications required: •Manufacturing technique with 10 years’ experience in machining or process planning;
•Bachelor degree in manufacturing engineering with 6 to 10 years’ experience Good knowledge and experience in manufacturing process;
•Good knowledge of Catia V5 (3D model creation);
•Ability to read drawings (dimensional and geometric tolerancing);
•Knowledge of different raw material manufacturing;
•Good knowledge of Microsoft office software (mostly EXCEL);
•Bilingual (French & English);
•Understanding of turbine engine configuration;
•Good communication and presentation skills;
•Good negotiating skills.
