ISR & Space Systems is a business unit within UTAS and our products reside in deep space, low earth orbit , undersea and on the ground. We are also a major supplier to international space programs. The ISR & Space Systems business has contributed to significant advances in ground, air, space and imaging technology for over 85 years. Within ISR & Space Systems we design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station, including the space suit, and undersea in submarines.
We are now looking for highly motivated and technically sound individuals to join us as Subcontract Management Project IPD Lead to drive team and supplier activities associated Supplier Designed Equipment for electromechanical devices (valves, sensors, motors) for Environmental Control and Life Support Equipment for space applications. The selected individuals are responsible for team and supplier performance though superior planning and communications. We seek those with experience managing the technical and communication aspects of supplier designed equipment including development, manufacture and test/verification of electromechanical equipment. This lead position will drive the completion of the hardware specifications, source control drawings and statements of work. The Subcontract Management Project lead will drive all supplier technical activity and administer supplier design reviews to enable on time delivery of hardware and to achieve sales milestones. The position requires ownership and accountability to schedule, budget and performance. Earned Value Methodology experience is preferred. Familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is highly desired. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate is a plus. Successful candidates will possess the energy and drive to facilitate IPD Team performance. Travel is estimated to be about 20% within the United States.
Qualification: 6-10 years of experience is required.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (with an excellent background in electromechanical devices)
