Primary responsibility for the vendor management relationship and compliance of contracted asset management program business partners(s), e.g. Lufthansa (“LHT”) inventory program control, inventory accuracy, improvement projects and the training of proper policy and procedures for impacted F9 / LHT personnel.  Also provide oversight at Class II stations of Material Specialists and give computer instructions at Class II, Class III and Class IV and OMC outstation operations and their interface with Frontier’s Maintenance Information System (FMIS, i.e. “TRAX”) software.

  • Read, understand, oversee and administer the obligations in the current Lufthansa agreement
  • Maintain an effective working relationship between Frontier Airlines and on-site representatives from business partners, including contracted 3rd party Class II station materials specialists
  • Manage, monitor and coordinate exchange or repair transactions associated with contracted vendors.
  • Liaise with Manager, Materials Services and other key Frontier stakeholders for LHT CAS (Customer Approval Sheets) process implementation
  • Work with management to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for development of vendor scorecard(s) for contracted business partners
  • Coordinate with Materials Services management to improve the process of parts flow throughout the stores’ facilities
  • Interface with senior management and facilitate negotiations with contracted suppliers
  • Analyst, develop and implement potential cost savings and process improvements
  • Manage day-to-day operations regarding supply chain and inventory management of contracted parts  These duties include but are not limited to:
    • Cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
    • Inventory adjustments
    • Investigation of lost or missing components
    • Escalate issues in need of expediting with on-site representative
    • Maintain a healthy materials program which is in compliance with all contractual obligations
    • Review key performance indicators and associated financial impact
    • Return and supply performance of components
    • TRAX training and support of material specialists (contractors)
  • All other duties as reasonably requested by the Sr Manager, Materials Mgmt




  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Aerospace Management, Aviation Science or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain management experience with a 121 air carrier or military equivalent, including working knowledge of regulatory requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Cross-functional knowledge of airline maintenance and engineering operations to include heavy maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, quality control, SCM, maintenance planning, maintenance programs, reliability, warranty, fleet management, records, accounts payable, finance
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to analyze cost drivers and develop and implement cost reduction strategies
  • Proficient in use of TRAX and Microsoft Office products
  • Effective internal and external communication skills
