The Aerostructures Operations Strategy and Cost Management organization is seeking a proactive person to help support and lead Strategic Operations Projects, which may include involvement with work transitions. The position requires the ability to properly scope and develop strategy for complex work placement projects consistent with the Aerostructures’ Site & Supply Strategy.
The candidate will be required to drive resolution of technically and/or commercially complex issues in manufacture or supply, developing and analyzing multiple solution options and presenting the downselected path forward for senior leadership concurrence. We are seeking a versatile candidate that is able to develop and execute selected projects in support of organizational objectives which likley include the management of work transition projects. The candidate must have demonstrated leadership skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment and be comfortable driving change while being able to effectively partner with and influence other functions to ensure alignment and business success. This position will report to the Director, Operations Strategy and Cost Management.
Interface with internal customers and operational leaders to ensure coordination and integration of strategies and projects across sites or suppliers
Manage and support projects using conventional project management tools and visual controls.
Prepare and conduct regular reviews to ensure that the projects remain on track to meet their strategic goals and objectives
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional departments of Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, along with Aerostructures senior leadership and other business units.
Establishment of the transition plan with customer buy-in
Execution of the activities to successfully transfer the work packaged within budget and on schedule
Interface with internal customers to ensure coordination and integration with the applicable program demand schedule and customer requirements.
Develop and manage the inventory transition plan to ensure continued supply of products for customers during the transition
Ensure compliance of technical and regulatory requirements.

Education: Basic Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Business or Related field
- 5-7 years of Engineering experience in a discrete manufacturing environment, ideally in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role focused on driving cost reduction through improved efficiencies
