The Maintenance Training Manager will be primarily responsible to provide direct day-to-day administration for all the MX (CAMP) training activities performed by this department across the entire Frontier Airlines network.  This includes direction, oversight, guidance and support of all CAMP training personnel and their activities.  Additionally, this individual may be required to perform front-line training of some curriculum. Other responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Training Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and administer day-to-day training resources (20%)
  • Review, monitor, and forecast CAMP training staff requirements (20%)
  • Define and create short and or long-term training schedules (10%)
  • Review and forecast the resources necessary to execute the training schedules (10%)
  • Ensure that an accurate database of training records for all CAMP employees and contractors is maintained (10%)
  • Develop and monitor a budget (10%)
  • Assist in the creation and development of new or existing training curriculum (10%)
  • Evaluate and improve (as necessary) the effectiveness of all training programs and trainers (10%)
  • Perform front-line training as required
  • Monitor interface with Aircraft Reliability dept. to identify training opportunities


  • College degree or FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or FCC General Radio Telephone license is required
  • At least two years in management or a leadership role
  • At least two years training or equivalent experience
  • Formal training with respect to adult education and learning is desired
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Administrative and management skills including forecasting, scheduling and budget preparation
  • The ability to lead, direct department functions, and evaluate/coach employee development
  • Knowledge and experience with adult education
  • Knowledge and experience of airline technical operations
  • Classroom training experience
  • Moderate to advanced computer application “user” skills (database & spreadsheet applications)
