Act as the M&E business owner for major cross- functional initiatives involving M&E (e.g., fleet induction, major aircraft modification, fleet retirement, and lease return)
Coordinate with various operational areas and executive leadership of M&E to ensure M&E requirements are understood in these cross-functional initiatives, and appropriate M&E SMEs are engaged for organization ownership and successful initiative execution throughout the initiative lifecycle
Serve as M&E interface to other parts of the organization on progress and status of initiatives
Perform strategic planning within M&E by assisting the M&E executive leadership and Senior Director of BPI in formulating strategic vision, crafting road map and developing detailed execution plans
Define and lead initiatives within M&E:
Collaborate with other areas of BPI to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to frame and solve key strategic and tactical business issues at M&E
Identify potential solutions to tackle these issues
Define the resources required
Develop compelling business cases to get the initiatives approved and started
Manage M&E initiative scope, schedule, cost/budget, quality, risks and issues throughout the initiative lifecycle.
Manage initiative resources often in a matrix environment; actively communicate with both internal and external stakeholder, including periodic steering committee meetings and presentations
Mentor junior resources within BPI
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field
Strong business acumen
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Successful track record of managing projects from initiation through closing
Excellent financial analysis skills including development of business cases
Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
5-year airline or related industry experience
MBA or Master’s degree in related field
Proven track record in vendor evaluation, selection and on-going vendor relationship management
PMI PMP certification
Experience in strategic and/or operational consulting
Experience in large projects involving corporate facilities and IT
