Position Summary:

The Manager is responsible for developing a process to collect, store and report progress on the Corporate Structural Cost Program Target of $300M by the year 2020. As part of this role, the Manager will maintain and execute the Business Case Policy, ensure corporate audit controls around capital expenditures are adhered to and develop and deliver a Finance training program for the Financial Planning & Analysis team and departmental leaders.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Develop a process to collect, store and report the Structural Cost Program target ($300M by 2020) by Department

· Develop a database with the above data by project to understand current gap to target

· Partner with operational leadership and Finance Director Divisional Controllers to track costs and benefits of business cases and projects

· Assist the Structural Cost team with validating and reporting savings claimed

· Develop a process to review and analyze progress towards Plan with the SCP team monthly

· Maintain and execute the Business Case Policy including but not limited to, Business Case procedure updates, communication and education, risk assessments, post investment reviews, and supplemental approvals for project overruns

· Ensures corporate audit controls around the Business Case process are adhered to.

· Overseeing staff that support project manager and cost center leaders with monthly variance analysis for the Structural Cost Program and capital projects

· Develop system strategy for Capital Projects

· Provide guidance to cost center leaders of the long term impact of capital and operating investments on the 3 Year Plan, Structural Cost Program and other Corporate Goals

· Develop and deliver a Finance training program for Financial Planning & Analysis team and departmental leaders

· Promote communication and collaboration between the operational departments to ensure holistic view is taken when evaluating business cases and projects

· Monthly reporting to the Executive Leadership Team to generate discussion around project prioritization, trade-off discussions and to provide data to enable well informed decisions

· Execute the annual capital expenditure plan and analyze capital and operating expenditure trends

· Instill ownership and ensure accountability amongst operational leadership through education and awareness

Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement and development

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent discipline

· Five (5) years of budgeting and/or analytical experience

· Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

· Excellent communication and analytical skills

· Available for occasional overnight travel (5%)

· Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test

· Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s of Business Administration (MBA)

· Interacting daily with people at different levels within the organization, including developing and maintaining ongoing relationships

· Providing high-quality customer service in a matrix structure with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations

Crewmember Expectations:

· Regular attendance and punctuality

· Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

· Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

· When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

· Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

· Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))

· Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

· Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
