Rockwell Collins is looking for a Facilities Services Manager experienced in leading employees or contractors who construct, maintain and repair utilities systems, buildings and equipment. Individual should be familiar with managing maintenance and repair of plant equipment, building and grounds while acting as a role model for others in regards to Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) initiatives, responsibilities and continuous improvement efforts.

Job responsibilities:
Sets priorities and forecasts to allocate limited resources to complete all necessary tasks related to major construction projects and renovation.
Monitor and tracks project cost and schedule progress while frequently reporting job progress
Review and bid versus actuals and adjust accordingly
Assigns projects and tasks to team; Identifies and develops leadership within the team. Selects, develops and manages the performance of the team members.
Responsible for ensuring site\\projects meet safety policies and procedures. Ensures workplace training and safety plans are fully implemented. Ensures the area complies with OSHA, EPA and other safety and health requirements.
Oversee contractors and professionals working in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and general maintenance trades. Coordinates furnishing, electrical, heating/cooling, and other contractors or suppliers to ensure the facility is set up to enterprise standards.
Manages the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and repair of plant equipment, building and grounds
Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
Control and authorizes vacations of maintenance personnel without impacting operations & facilities services plans.
Analyzes and authorizes the first level of purchase requisitions that are assigned to the maintenance department.
Responsible to maintain and create maintenance documentation such as methods, procedures, instructions, etc.
Provide input for strategic planning and expansion plans and participate on the definition of the metrics for the maintenance department.
Daily meetings with direct reports to strengthen confidence and sense of continuous improvement.

Customer Service Oriented - Provides customers with quality experiences, establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
Dependable - Ensures that all details of a project are accurate before delegating to others.
Detail Oriented- Rarely makes errors but accepts responsibility for those that are made and develops a plan to prevent similar errors from recurring.
Strategic Planner - Develops strategic plans while anticipating potential obstacles.
Relationship Builder - Develops relationships with others that are based on trust.
Effective Time Manager - Works from a daily to-do list but will re-organize if priorities suddenly shift.


Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience.

US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required. Candidate must have formal/informal leadership experience and experience in construction.
