Overall responsibility for every aspect of incoming material receipts, inspection, stores and shipping, and traffic. (i.e. overall responsibility for Shipping & Receiving; Main and Raw Material Stores)
Initiate and adhere to budgets – operating costs, capital etc.
Liaise with internal and external customers/suppliers
Improve efficiencies utilizing advanced continuous improvement skills working towards a modernized state of the art operation.
Develop teamwork and improve motivation thru Daily
Ensure all personnel receive appropriate and effective training Ex. SAP
Ensure Health and Safety Requirements are maintained
Maintain Team Compliance to company rules, procedures, Collective Agreement and Employment Standards Act
Knowledge of Lean Principles and techniques, Management and leadership experience in motivating staff and fostering teambuilding required.
Must possess problem solving skills and have the ability to be proactive and innovative in approach.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, a vast and in-depth working level knowledge of SAP is mandatory.
Detailed understanding of shop floor control systems, results driven, excellent time management and organizational skills.
Clear vision on a modernized logistical operation and the ability to transform that vision into reality.
University Degree or College Diploma in Operations/Logistics Management
Minimum five (5) years in Logistics environment
Familiarity with aerospace components, manufacturing processing and quality control. In depth knowledge of world class logistical solutions.
Actively be involved in any Health, Safety and Environment initiatives as HS&E is every employee's responsibilities.
