Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Tech, Logistics, you will be responsible for performance of a wide range of tasks and services in support of assembly operations, production and business unit objectives.

Activities include applying advanced skills in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to Shipping and Receiving team members and adapts new procedures and techniques.

In particular, you will be responsible to:

* Perform and manage administrative functional support to the receiving department.
* Receive goods and verify items against record of shipment and purchase order requirements.
* Plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving, or the warehouse, to production.
* Ship finished goods completing all required paperwork to all internal and external compliance requirements.
* Update information on computer to maintain inventory records.
* Perform SAP transactions as required for parts being purchased, received & shipped into inventory.
* Record received & shipped items according to established system procedures.
* Deliver items to designated areas if applicable.
* Label and process transactions according to established procedures.
* Ensure the completion of all paper work relating to the receipt of goods.
* Organize materials received for quality inspections if applicable.
* Assist with unloading, loading, and transport (forklift) of materials and finished products.
* Perform other duties as required

Qualification: Required Experience / Expertise
* Minimum of 8 years of logistics experience, including scheduling and expediting of shipments of various sizes, complexities and configurations, and including the use of MRP, ERP or similar logistics-oriented software
* Must be able to work rotating shifts, and to work overtime and on week-ends.
* Nothing matters more to UTC Aerospace Systems than our strong ethical and safety commitments. Therefore, all U.S. positions require a background check, which may include a drug screen.
Preferred Experience / Expertise
* Strong preference for SAP experience
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, including coworkers, internal and external customers, suppliers and company leadership
* Excellent prioritization skills
* High degree of adaptability and poise in a fast-paced and fluid work environment
* Ownership / Stewardship attitude
* Prior aerospace manufacturing experience, especially with aircraft engine and related components
* Prior leadership or mentorship experience is also strongly preferred in this role

Education:
* Associate's degree (or other 2-year post high school training) required
