The Lead Sourcing Specialist will Manage Supply Base for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of Modern MRP systems related to purchasing and sourcing concepts and principles. Strong knowledge of purchasing concepts in order to help drive supplier performance.
In Addition, the Lead Sourcing Specialist, you will :
* Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution
* Manage problems and schedule changes
* Update MRP
* Negotiate the best commercial and technical package for procurement requirements
* Work with allocated key suppliers to improve On Time Delivery and Quality statistics to target levels
* Communicate across direct organization
* Present to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific purchasing space and on cross functional teams on how purchasing contributes to overall strategy
* Assist in the continuous development of the Procurement function towards best practice
* Identify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chain
* Advise Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures within own field
* Has a role as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing & MRP experience)
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in Buying / Procurement
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
* This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
* Strong Excel analytical skills in pulling large data extracts out of ERP systems
* Electronic Component Sourcing Experience a plus
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Ability to influence others and lead small teams
* Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
* Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
* Effective problem identification and solution skills
* Proven analytical and organizational ability
